Recent conference attended

The winner of the drawing at the San Diego Child and Family Maltreatment is Andrea Estes with Wiconi Wawokiya Woman’s and Children Center in South Dakota. They are now the new owners of a Comfort Frog. Yee Haa.

After listening to the comments at the symposium in Huntsville, I am adding a new product.   I am calling it Froga.  If you take frog and toga and take out all the unnecessary letters you get Froga.  Froga is shaped like a towel which is folded in half cross-wise.  When the child comes into the room, they see Comfort Frog sitting on the exam table.  The Froga will not be noticeable at that point since it is made out of green fleece like most of Comfort Frog.  When the child is ready to lay back on Comfort Frog you open up the Froga and the upper flap covers the head of the frog, not the child.  I am putting a big pink heart inside the Froga so that will be noticeable when the Froga is opened up.  The kids will still be laying on fleece so it will still be soft to the touch.  One of these will come with each frog sold.  More are available for $10 a piece.

Well, just back from the 28th National Symposium on Child Abuse.  What an amazing week.  We learned so much about child abuse and the wonderful, caring people who work in that field.  The response to Comfort Frog was really positive.  My sister, Linda and I loved Huntsville.  What a beautiful area.  Our hotel looked out on the Space Research Center so there were rockets outside our window, and a space shuttle.  Wow.  God is so good.
